Bay Wave Youth and Community Festival

Bay Wave Youth and Community Festival is on again – Tuesday 10th April (3pm – 8pm) as part of Brisbane Youth Week celebrations.

The festival is now in its 15th year and will be held at Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre (Tingal Road – Wynnum – 5min walk from train station).

Local youth and the community are invited to celebrate their skills and demonstrate their energy, passion and talents through an electrifying line up of free events and activities including showcasing some talented local bands and artists. Organised by BABI Youth and Family Service, the festival in 2018 continues to focus on the values and purposes youth today embrace.

The annual festival aims to encourage community contributions and partnerships as well as to profile young inspiring role models. This year the festival is proudly supported by the Brisbane City Council through their Suburban Community and Multicultural Festival grants. Young people and families are invited to join in the free festival fun.

Free activities include Laser Tag, Rock Wall, Face Painting, giant board games, Candle Making, Bungee Run, Jumping Castle, free Sausage Sizzle, barister coffee, cake stall, photo booth, Live DJ/bands, and finishing with the free community cinema set up with a sea of yellow bean bags.
