The Waterloo Bay Lapidary Club's annual fundraising Gem Show has become the event of the year for Hemmant and surrounds. Over 30 stalls are offering gems, minerals, rocks, crystals, jewellery and handicrafts. There is a raffle of beautiful jewellery and refreshments in our Soft Rock Cafe. See a display of club members work. Take a tour of our club workshop where all the magic happens. Come by train – Hemmant Station is just across the road.

On Sunday 14th June, at the heritage listed Seventh-day Adventist Church, 25 Carnation St Wynnum (up from the bowls club).
Starting at 8am- raising funds for roof repairs. Sausage Sizzle, Plants, books, Local fresh Honey and beeswax products, Tools, shoes, clothes, arts and crafts, furniture, Bric a Brac, & Face Painting.
The Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly with the support of many local businesses and community organization’s, will hold their inaugural FAMILY FUN DAY
Sunday 31st May between 10am and 2pm at Bandstand Park on the Manly foreshore.
As well as many Free Activities, Free Food and Free giveaways the community will have the opportunity to meet the local emergency services such as the Police, Fire Department and QLD Ambulance as well as many other community services.
On the day there will be an Information and Resource tent where the local community can gain information on how to prevent crime and violence in our community.
On the day The Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly will be launching, in conjunction with the Queensland Government’s “TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS” campaign a handy information card with all local emergency numbers.
