Member for Bonner, Ross Vasta today joined Michael Keenan, Minister for Human Services to tour the new Australian Hearing flagship store in Mt Gravatt.
Thanks to the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, Australian Hearing has already provided more than 270,000 hearing services since opening in July 2017.
Mr Vasta said Australian Hearing’s clients told them they wanted a more open, interactive and welcoming space.
“This new design delivers on this, making it easier for clients to browse, engage with technology and interact with Australian Hearing’s expert staff,” Mr Vasta said.
“This is the next generation of hearing care experience and the new centre creates a strong sense of community for customers,” said Mr Vasta.
Since opening, the facility has provided 5,247 hearing services to indigenous clients, an increase of almost twelve per cent compared to the same period last year.
The new Australian Hearing centre features an interactive reception area, activity zones, revamped consulting rooms and spaces to interact with the latest hearing technology.
